Colin the dude’s review published on Letterboxd:
Willard Huyck and Gloria Katz wrote and directed four films. One was the eerie, solemn, chill-soaked Messiah of Evil. The other was Howard the Duck. Yes, that Howard the Duck. How does one de-volve from one end of the style spectrum to the other? It might have to do with the elephant in the room. They did also write American Graffiti and Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom so the Lucas presence looms large. I do not know how this film comes out of any of that but it is one weird, icy nightmare. You can eat the atmosphere with a fork.
