I can't look at this film the same way ever since my girlfriend, both current and at the time, went to hang out with her fuck buddy that she stopped seeing the day after we started dating which was a month earlier and got Olive Garden and then went to his house and watched this until 3 AM but also apparently worked on his resume and when I confronted her she actually showed me the resume on her phone which is kind of reassuring but to this day I low key wonder if she did cheat on me and worked on his resume while watching Zodiac because she didn't message me the entire time until 1 in the morning to tell me they were working on his resume and by that point I was chain smoking cigarettes on the highway while crying and screaming along to Float on by Modest Mouse because what am I supposed to think at that point in time there are trust issues and there are situations where any rational person would be incredibly paranoid and I'd like to think that this was the latter.
Almost a perfect film. The performances are brilliant and the directing is so masterful. There's just something preventing me from giving it a ten, and I can't put my finger on it.
