Storm Reid has one facial expression throughout the entire thing and it's appropriate roughly ten percent of the time.
It's fun, it's melodramatic and technically competent enough to keep you invested. Joaquim de Almeida is fantastic and a goddamn national treasure. Everything comes WAY too easy and the final twist is kinda dumb, but if you can suspend that believability, it's a really enjoyable watch. Of course, having the theater alone really enhanced those oh my god moments because I was literally allowed to shout oh my god. Definitely worth a watch and a theater and I anticipate the continuation of this format at a higher rate, seeing as this should do pretty well at the box office.
January releases have been absolutely killing it this year and I'm so pleasantly surprised.
