Zack Snyder's Justice League

Zack Snyder's Justice League ★★★★

Snyder’s magnum opus, the purest distillation possible of who he is and where his heart lies, filled with so much love and earnest that it feels hard to deny. but the thing that i really took from this is that this is partially a movie about grief and trying to right your wrongs made by a grieving man. he dedicated this to his late daughter Autumn, and it genuinely feels like it far beyond the credits. Cyborg, who could pass as one of the main protagonists here, drives so much of the emotional weight in his plot line with his dad, and ultimately that transforms into his, and Snyder’s, catharsis. it’s a movie about emotional release as much as it is a movie about superheroes and gods. astonishing. far more to say about this, and i’m sure i’ll get to it all on further rewatches
