I gotta be honest, I didn’t like this movie as much as I did when I first watched it. Don’t get me wrong, this movie is still amazing and terrifying, but I personally didn’t like the ending as much as I used to. While it still is very good, I feel like it could have been a lot more ambiguous like The Lighthouse where the movie doesn’t tell you exactly what is happening in the ending but it still tells you enough so you can come up with a lot of different theories that makes it so interesting. But sadly Hereditary just straight up tells you what’s actually happening in the end which took a bit from the horror aspect. But overall this is still a fantastically made movie with a phenomenal performance from Toni Collette who for some reason did not get an oscar nomination.
