Carnegie Mellon International Film Festival’s review published on Letterboxd:
Streaming this week at the festival is the wonderful This is Not a Burial, It’s a Resurrection. A powerful, slow-burning film, set in the mountains of Lesotho, which follows an 80-year-old woman as she prepares for her burial. Her determination and spirit propel the movie as she inspires others in her village to fight against oncoming forces asking them to relocate. Every image and moment feels so carefully constructed, designed to take your breath away with its details and colors. A truly accomplished film and one you certainly don’t want to miss.
