• Gotti

It’s not egregiously bad. Maybe I’ve just been watching a lot of dogshit lately but it was better than things I’ve watched this week.

Shoutout to the beginning and the end’s 4th wall breaks as well as Pitbull for the soundtrack.

  • Terrifier

This movie is described as “adventure” on amazon. I want to go on an adventure where I hit damien leone with a truck cause this movie felt like being sawed in half balls first.

  • Monster

This is a difficult film to rate, Theron’s performance is top tier, probably a 5. There are extremely effective moments as well as hard but correct decisions in telling this story. However, the unnecessary VO for moments of the film completely took me out of it more than almost any other film because of how unnecessary they were. It’s a very raw and gritty film. Those little moments just remove the viewer from the world the film intends to immerse them in. The Cinematography is nothing to write home about either.

  • Nope

    Massive entertainment, massive plot holes.
There was also a lot that did absolutely nothing for the plot but was still cool.

Respect the effort, but am left a bit wanting in regards to relatable characters & narrative stakes. I’d say that’s on me, since I knew what I was getting into, but for all its immeasurable beauty, Phil does seem to get lost in his own world(s). But oh what a world to get lost in.
