🔜Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald🔜
After arriving in India, Indiana Jones is asked by a desperate village to find a mystical stone. He agrees – and stumbles upon a secret cult plotting a terrible plan in the catacombs of an ancient palace.
After Raiders of the Lost Ark I had very high expectations for this one and for the most part it delivered. The action stays intense and is as creative as the first one. Harrison Ford continues his dominance in the role. With an added dynamic of Jones and Short Round. That relationship was my favorite of this film and made me laugh many times. Ford and Quan’s chemistry was unmatched. The direction by Spielberg is just as fantastic as Raiders. John William’s score continues to reign and heighten every scene. George Lucas’s storytelling continues to entertain even if it’s not as good as Raiders.
The writing and editing certainly did drop from Raiders to this one but not a big one. Both were still very good. What I didn’t like about this was the performance by Kate Capshaw as the screaming I found quite annoying. Also this movie had a lot of undertones of racism which was pretty excessive. Very much still a good Indiana Jones movie.
