Clay Bones’s review published on Letterboxd:
After such an impressive first run with the characters, Gunn proves he is the person for the job and knows how to utilise these characters better than anyone else probably could.
Guardians Vol. 2 narrowly exceeds it’s predecessor. Where the story doesn’t quite have the same impact the character, the visuals and comedic theme are all improved. Each character getting their moments to shine Vol. 2 recognises the potential of each characters capabitites and sets it up for what could go down in Infinity War (plus Groot is cute as shit).
A perfectly witty, stylistic and atmospherically engaging addition to the MCU.
