she spoke a last farewell that scarcely reached his ears and fell back into the abyss. perhaps she was the one who said, turn around.
and in that moment, when marianne was rushing to leave, it was heloise who said "turn around". marianne did, seeing the love of her life for the (second) to the last time—in her wedding dress—one of her last memories of her.
