Bigger, larger, greater. If you thought having such a massive budget for Blade Runner 2049 was risky, wait until you see this semi-blockbuster, semi-auteuristic gargantuan adventure. Denis Villeneuve, quite literally, spared no expense and the result will daze to their core those who appreciate heavy world building.

I found it even provocative how such a gigantic film with a packed cinema on opening night dared to slacken the pace considerably to explore the protagonist’s dreamy psyche. It goes without saying…

WHAT A DREAM. What a dream of a film.

It's past midnight, so it's officially Christmas, and I'm self-isolated in my bedroom due to a close contact with a positive case of COVID-19. I haven't had a chance to have dinner with my family, nor barely see them throughout the day, yet I don't feel alone.

That's the thing about Carol. It is a deeply intimate film that still feels larger than life, and in between, is where I find…

    ENGLISH:
Whatever I’ve read so far about it, I think Fresh was a surprisingly insightful and poignant piece of genre filmmaking. It might seem a bit simple on the surface, but while it follows the expected patterns for its kind of story, it does also portray misogyny and the dangers of online dating quite effectively.

However, all of its 40 minute intro wouldn’t work with the rest of the film, were it not for the excellent chemistry between Daisy Edgar-Jones and Sebastian Stan.…

    ENGLISH:
The true crime of streaming platforms is that somehow I've had to watch this film on my tiny laptop screen when it actually SLAPS, and deserves the biggest screen possible.

It renews the Predator formula with a flare and artistic touch I had not anticipated whatsoever. It is a non-stop survival blockbuster at its core, but the director makes sure to put his vision forward as well. Blended in with the gnarly fight scenes, there are incredibly soothing moments…

I'm to be 26 this year, and still wondering what the hell I should do with my life. I'd love to do something related to filmmaking, but sometimes I wonder if that's even feasible. Should I stop messing around and be an English teacher? Cause somehow I ended up studying that in college. I like writing as well, but talent to do so doesn't like me back, so... I'm still wondering what the hell I should do with my life.…

Bumping this up to a full 10 cause during the screening a group of people a few rows ahead were talking loudly since the very first scene and I told them to shut the fuck up... But they couldn't figure out where it was coming from.

They thought I was hiding in the shadows.

    BUT I AM THE SHADOWS.
