didn’t expect this movie to be that good.
the pacing was great and kept you hooked as there were no dull moments whatsoever.
the performances, especially from Kutcher, were good.
however, i understand the criticisms towards Novak, but to me, he played the self-centric millennial pretty well and his character’s arc is extremely satisfying.
the comedy hit for me and the murder mystery elements kept me intrigued!
i can see this one being an underrated banger

Iron Man 3 2013
after a rewatch, i can safely say it’s my favorite from the trilogy. i seriously don’t remember it being like this! what really wins me over is how character driven the plot was as it explored tony’s PTSD and anxiety.
i know it bothers a lot of people that tony isn’t in a suit often, but i really like that.
lastly, the final act with the who arsenal of suits pulling up is so good. -
The Avengers 2012
ten years later and this movie still goes hard.
there’s something about how this movie is shot that gives it its charm and i really like it.
it’s crazy how likeable and entertaining every character from the main cast is.
like i remember this movie being good, but it just really hit me different this time around.
and the score…so nostalgic! alan silvestri, thank you.
how could anyone not like this one? -
Captain America: The First Avenger 2011
i really liked this one even though its my least favorite from cap’s trilogy.
it has slow moments, but for the most part i find myself hooked.
steve is the straight up boy scout superhero and honestly, we need more of that these daysit also helps that im an enjoyer of the 30s/40s aesthetic

Thor 2011
idk how this movie only has a 2.9
to me, its the second best phase one film right behind avengers.
it does such a good job of portraying exactly why thor is worthy. his arc goes from desiring a throne and being a selfish brat to becoming someone who puts others before himself and understands the weight of his actions.
i get that the shakespearean isn’t for everyone, but the balance between that and the interactions on earth sits really… -
Iron Man 2 2010
despite the hate, this one is still entertaining.
the villain is so cliche and boring, but who cares bc rdj single handedly carries every scene he’s in. -
-
Mad Max: Fury Road 2015
this is one of the most unique movies i’ve ever seen.
it’s a nonstop ride and chase through a wasteland with ridiculously good action.also the attention to detail on the cars…it’s so ballin

Zack Snyder's Justice League 2021
despite the 4hr runtime, the movie is paced very well.
comparing this to the 2017 monstrosity, it’s night and day.
steppenwolf felt like a real threat and man oh man did darkseid really feel menacing.
really sucks that this universe’s story is basically out of the question for wb, which is both understandable and disappointing. i would’ve liked to see snyder finish the story and now with fans being more welcoming of “darker” tones in superhero movies, i think it could’ve been a big success.
also, flash going in back in time is a top 10 cbm moment. -
Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) 2020
as apart of a rewatch dc marathon, i had to watch this.
i'll never get that 1hr49min back.
huntress is the only saving grace and her screen time was very minimal. -
