If you know anything about me, you know I hate the Deadpool films more than most things on this planet, so the prospect of seeing an action comedy directed by David Leitch fills me with complete and utter dread. But I needed not be concerned, because Brad Pitt gave me my only chuckle in Deadpool 2. Hell, in either Deadpool movie. The Deadpool style of humor is in this film in spades, but it didn’t enrage here me as much as it does there. Why? David Leitch, goofy over-the-top action, annoyingly meta comedy, cringey cameos, it’s all here! I don’t get it!

Then, it hit me. I have finally discovered the cure for the modern mainstream blockbuster: Replace Ryan Reynolds with people who have actual charm.

This is not as fun as the trailer, but still very fun. Points off for a certain cameo that forced me to see [redacted]’s stupid face.
