Chronological Indiana Jones Marathon Begins Now

This was my favorite Indy movie as a kid. It was the most engaging and exciting one. I hadn’t seen it in I don’t even know how long, so rewatching it today was a blast!

I LOVED the opening credits with the dancers and musical number. It sets the the tone for the time period. The action is non-stop here. Any breathing room has an action sequence right afterwards. It’s always bothered me a tiny bit that this movie only takes place because they landed in this Indian village. Had they not crashed, all those poor kids would still be in captivity!! Maybe that’s nitpicky, but I had to mention it.

I can’t believe I watched this as a kid. It’s freakin disturbing 😂 not a big fan of the huge cult plot, which I know is the whole movie, and I think that’s why I’m not as big of a fan today. Plus it has its cheesy moments. However I don’t mind Willie as much as everyone else. I also love Short Round. I love when Short Round is pleading with Indiana to come back to consciousness and telling him he loves him. After he touches him with the fire, and Indy is like “I’m alright kid,” then winks at him, I got major chills! Finally, the entire sequence in the mine shaft is amazing. I’m surprised we don’t have a mine cart Indiana Jones roller coaster yet. At this point it’ll likely never happen, but I can dream!

Things that make no sense:
- Short Round parking the car in the right place at the right time
- Surviving the plane crash
- The water reaching them from the tank spilling in the mine makes absolutely no sense, especially seeing as how they had been riding for miles, and they even cross an open area with lava.

There’s more, but it’s all exciting, so don’t think about it!
