Entered with no expectations of John Wick knock-off revenge thriller, but I'm awfully wrong. But what I got is a pleasantly flowing tale of love, loss, and greed. The story is not complicated, but the emotional journey is only felt by someone who has suffered loss. Nicholas Cage gives a realistic performance without his superficial, whining, off the wall craziness. Cage at his best after Adaptation. His character is genuine and carries you through his emotional torment, and sadness with a believable way. Alex Wolff is worth mentioning for his acting too. This is a heartfelt, sad movie experience which is impactful and unforgettable.
