  I was feeling shitty this morning so I rewatched Cats.

  More like I was feeling numb. Like I felt like if I watched anything that I loved, it wouldn't have the same emotional effect.

  Pretty awful...

  I guess I haven't really seen one of these "ensemble cast" MGM musicals before, but I was expecting a bit more plot, given that it's in the structure of a biopic. Unfortunately, the sections outside of the musical numbers were extremely dull. I didn't really understand why they had Mickey Rooney complaining about his height so much until I found out that the character was in the closet and MGM changed his self-loathing to be about his height…
