The perfect example for why there should be an ensemble Oscar, how could you possibly pick out one or two performances when the movie runs eight deep! Sarah Polley takes what should be a very confined, challenging and claustrophobic chamber piece and infuses it with so much energy, life, and humour. The movie clearly speaks to our time, but in a way that is never preachy or all-knowing. It is the second movie that I've seen in consecutive nights at TIFF that opens with a voice over explaining the importance of stories, and I don't think I'll forget either for a very long time.
