Chuckman’s review published on Letterboxd:
A masterfully crafted saga of life in America. The length gives the ending and the characters that much more power and depth. The film has a hypnotic effect in which you become so absorbed in what is happening in front of you, the fact you are watching a collage of flashbacks never really hits you until the very end. Despite nearing a 4hr run time, time never really registers with the viewer until the intermission and the credits roll. Good to Sergio Leone ended his fantastic career with a masterpiece.
