Goddamn that’s a Hitchcock movie. I wanna focus this review on how his direction shaped the film from my point of view.

• The fight choreography and switch up between weapons was insane.
• Sometimes it felt like I was watching a video game.
This is therapy alone in that you get to hear Morgan Freeman’s soothing exposition throughout the majority of the movie
There are times when the camera moves so close and personal to display Chiron’s emotions, then there are times when the camera creeps in from far behind as if it is inviting us to observe Chiron’s life from an external point of view — a perspective most of us don’t get to see often. I absorbed it all quietly and my heart aches for him. All aspects of this are mesmerising. I loved it a lot and I cried a lot.
