• Thor: Love and Thunder

    Thor: Love and Thunder

The story was written in like 15 minutes and there’s no emotional weight to the character work at all, but the vibes of it are immaculate. It’s more crazy than ragnarok in a lot ways probably from Taika getting more freedom due to that films success, but ultimately this is a lesser version of that film. The comedy works and the action is badass, but that’s all there is to it. The black and white part was so sick. Not…

    Minions: The Rise of Gru

    What a picture

  • Jurassic World Dominion

    Jurassic World Dominion

The first half is like fast and furious with random dinosaurs thrown into the set pieces just cuz it’s the whole point of the movie, then the second half at least settles into a lesser version of the first movie. Loved the original cast, but the rest is the same ol stuff that’s been wrong with the last two. Crazy how they never managed to learn from their mistakes and understand why these don’t work compared to the original and why that one works so damn well.

  • Top Gun: Maverick

    Top Gun: Maverick

Tom Cruise is the absolute MAN. No one ever speak against him again. The last of his kind fr. I couldn’t take anyone else this seriously as a legend. This is his show, no one else even matters. Badass, exciting, and emotional. I wanted to cheer and weep in the theater. A real movie. The aviators, the danger zone, the shirtless beach sports, the bros being bros, it’s all here, but it also makes its own way. Legitimately a genius…

  • Morbius

Quite possibly the most uninspired movie I’ve ever seen. Not outrageously terrible or anything, but there’s just nothing to it at all. Just a straight forward checklist of generic superhero moments. I was hoping for something that’s a goofy guilty pleasure like venom 2 but it’s just boring. The dialogue is probably the worst part. Disney gets a lot of hate for pumping out formulaic movies with no personal vision that are just a product, and they absolutely do that, but Sony does it even more and the results are often worse. Morbius sweep is alive tho 😂

  • Everything Everywhere All at Once

    Everything Everywhere All at Once

First time a movie has actually changed the way I view my life and want to make changes to it and my relationships in a long time and that’s about all I need to say.

  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Everything holds up perfectly. The way Scarlet Witch is shot in this movie is the best thing to ever come out of this universe and Olsen’s expressions are incredible. A family walked out during the zombie dr strange scene. I love Sam Raimi.

  • Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness

Sam Raimi is back baby and shows every mcu director how it’s done with the best made mcu movie by a massive margin. It’s by far the most creative in terms of trippy visuals and editing. The horror influences in the images and sounds are genius and sets this apart from most superhero films. The scene of Wanda breaking into the fortress for example is straight out of the evil dead in the way the camera moves. The standouts of…

  • Ambulance

My favorite Bay movie by far. Freaking excellent. Masterclass of filmmaking. Pure cinematic energy. Wastes no time getting into what Bay is best at, and it literally never slows down until the credits roll. The nonstop action and best camera work of his entire filmography are all beautiful to behold, but also the heart of the film hits hard. The drones are released and it’s revolutionary. Jake gyllenhaal does some of his most unhinged and entertaining work here. Truly tense,…

  • Solo: A Star Wars Story

    Solo: A Star Wars Story

The romance of Star Wars is so good.
No matter the hate this one gets, it’ll always connect to me a lot. Really fun movie about one of the saga’s best characters.

  • Uncharted

Actually really entertaining and funny. I love all the action set pieces and the vibes of these adventure type movies are always a blast. Tom Holland actually really works in this tbh. His chemistry with the supporting cast is really fun as well. Not much to it, and it’s not Indiana Jones or anything, but it’s a really exciting movie and better than I expected.

  • Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

Star Wars: Episode III - Revenge of the Sith

Literally the most heartbreaking and tragic blockbuster ever made. Wept multiple times. Masterpiece. Really depressing stuff. The downfall of the chosen one. Brothers destroyed. True love killed. As epic as it is tragic. The last hour is pure goosebumps. “You were my brother, Anakin. I loved you” is the saddest shit ever. Ewan mcgregor and Natalie Portman are insane here. The score is transcendent. I’m doing a rewatch rn, so we’ll see, but I really think this’ll be my favorite…
