There are liberal dashings of beauty amongst all the bloodshed (the score is absolutely gorgeous, the photography ravishing, and Anya Taylor-Joy continues to wield a very distinctive kind of on-camera magic), but two hours of men howling and hacking away at each other yield rapidly diminishing returns.
