Nocturne is fine, although it suffers when you compare it to thematically similar films like The Perfection and Black Swan . Whilst the two central performances are strong, and the last shot is striking, for the most part it just isn't very interesting. It's all too familiar. There's no wow factor.

It certainly doesn't have what it takes to serve as a distraction from the protracted result count of a certain election...
