I loved Princess Diana when I was growing up, I loved Jackie, and I REALLY wanted to love this! It was just too heavy-handed with all the metaphors and while Kristen Stewart was good, I never really bought her as Diana.
Beyond the film, I've realized it feels icky to have real-life figures portrayed like this when their children and immediate loved ones are very much alive. The audience gets to consume this as entertainment and the filmmakers receive accolades, but the subject's family deals with their loss every single day. Not that Princes William & Harry are helpless puppies that need coddling, but it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
