The Criterion Challenge 2021

I’m not going to go on and on about what I thought about Seven Samurai because I have nothing to say to do it justice. It was so great and epic. Only reason that I did not go a full five stars was that I frankly did not give a single fuck about that love story sub-plot between Katsushirō and Shino. While I understood why it was in the movie, that plot’s screen time was the only time in the 3.5 hour runtime that I felt my attention drifting.
