I’m starting to think people go to screenings just to laugh. Like, it don’t even make sense to me anymore why people laugh at the spots they do. Or maybe I’m just becoming a cynical asshole that doesn’t like fun anymore?
Either way, this shots a stone cold classic.

Yea this was hard! Starts off with a banger of a car chase and just keeps going. 70s/80s NYC was so fucking grimey, I wish I could’ve experienced it.

  • New Nightmare

Shot up to my 3rd favorite in the franchise tonight. I forgot just how good this shit is. Super dark, very moody, a great throwback to the original feel but modernized. The only downfall is the final 15 in Freddy’s lair, he had no booby traps for Heather??

  • No Sudden Move

    No Sudden Move

Man, this was really fucking good. The writing, the acting, the soundtrack, the location, the twists.. it was never ending (which is a good thing cause I wanted more).

  • 8-Bit Christmas

    8-Bit Christmas

    ★★½

This could’ve have been so much better, but it’s obviously marketed to family. Flashback 80s story of a kid who wants a Nintendo so badly he’ll do anything to get one. One legit bust up laughing moment, way too much forced nostalgic homages, & plenty of Da Bears being thrown around.

“Being a cop was never this easy.”

Hitting a Bill Duke / Tyrin Turner double feature.

An absolute classic. The neon soaked LA scenes are fiiiire.
Also… Dre/Snoop ‘Deep Cover’ is trash. Twinz ‘98 runs laps around that garbage ass song.

    “The ese’s was cool though..”

Man, a certified hood classic. LA in the 90s on screen never disappoints.
That foo Chauncy was a bitch straight up.

    “ - They’re going to crucify me.
       - No one’s going to crucify you. This is the
          80s.”

Leans heavy on running parallels to religion and sci fi. But it’s also just not that moving and slogs it’s way to an ending.

  • The Voyeurs

    The Voyeurs

    ★★½

Can’t tell if this wanted to be taken seriously or not… but I guess you can’t complain when watching a fairy decent modern erotic thriller. It starts off good and horny, then it cums way too fast and the end result kind of sucks.

I feel much like pierce… pulled in every direction and not sure how to handle the decision.

Took a half star away this second time around. I think I prefer the novel to the book. There was some stuff I feel like QT could’ve taken out, but I’m sure his ego didn’t let him. Still a fun movie though.

  • Overlord

“The thousand year reich needs thousand year soldiers.”

Two things I love… monsters & WWII. I love that it plays like an action war flick and gives just enough monster.
