Watched this early with my boss, was an interesting experience! With this being a Sam Raimi movie, I was so hyped! Seeing possibly my favourite director return to feature filmmaking in the director's chair was great! The sequences that felt very much like him being completely unfiltered and able to do his own thing within the limitations of the classification rating were wonderful. A surprising amount of blood and gore, some good horror scenes and his visual style makes this the most dynamic MCU film to date with memborable shots and editing choices. Yet where this is brought down is the screenplay and length. It's so jam-packed with information that you are bound to be lost at points, will need a second watch to grasp it more. The pacing felt too quick as well, definitely needed at least another thirty minutes to properly flesh out some elements. This had the possibility to be my favourite MCU film, Raimi doing his thing and producing a horror film inside a family-friendly franchise but it's brought down by a script that isn't as stellar as the director's talents. I won't rate this until I watch it again, which will be soon.
