    "Beautiful, isn't it?"

Memories are complicated. Scientists are still trying to discover how memories are stored in the brain. Memories are unreliable. Eyewitness testimony in court can often be completely different from two people standing by each other. Memories are strange. People can remember things that didn't happen, perhaps they were told these things from someone else, perhaps they just merely imagined it. Blade Runner 2049 very subtlety shows that memories are complicated, unreliable, and strange while still keeping the…

I didn't rewatch this because that would be painful and I have one reason to but this has 2 stars and each of them are for Odeya Rush who really deserves 6/5 stars.

First for Charlie: definitely one of the greats

Now the actual review: A masterpiece. It has great characters. And the score is so good. The best score in a movie that isn't by my four favorite composers (Justin Hurwitz, John William's, Ennio Morricone, and Hans Zimmer). It is very unique and abstract. The best example I have found for "It's not just a movie, it's an experience". Hayao Miyazaki is a genius. Almost every idea is so original and feels so fresh. Wonderfully written, this is easily the greatest animated film I have ever seen.
