I hate recasting. It’s always all I can think about. I know artistic integrity always loses to profit but come on, rewrite. Especially when Patricia Arquette’s replacement is so bad. None of the performances are spectacular but hers especially irked me. Like when she falls into the sand in her dream, why does she moan like she’s faking during bad sex? The movie improved after her death.

This move is fine. Not bad, not amazing. I was not as entertained as I wanted to be. As always, great effects. The ending was more impactful this time around as well.

Favorite kill goes to Freddy’s demise, but favorite non-that kill goes to the Roach Motel and that whole transformation. I was a little disappointed with the rest of them. A lot just lacked impact for me.
