A slapstick arthouse murder poem indeed. Well worth the wait for the most part.
Action? They turned that shit up to 11.
Stunt/Blocking/Fighting Choreo? They couldn’t have been more creative.
Cinematography/Framing? Wallpaper worthy, and that birds eye view shot was ohhhh so brilliant and cool.
One liners? Uncanny.
New characters? So fun. Lacking dimension for the majority though but most motives were clear, and some are still a mystery.
Post-credit scene? Spin-off worthy.
Plot? I’ll probably come back…

Yoooo David Lynch walked so that every brilliant filmmaker after him could fukin RUN. Great work by many in the company but especially to the Actors’ Studio alma mater Dennis Hopper playing the psychotic Frank Booth.

Lynch extracts the everyday and supplants it with the exceptionally bizarre. Once you and I understand that, I think we enjoy/appreciate (pick your poison) these films just a little bit more. 🤷🏼♂️
