  • The King's Man

    The King's Man

    ★★★★

Let's end this as gentlemen, After all, Manners maketh man! Like Matthew Vaughn's previous Kingsman franchise entry, The Golden Circle, People will either love or hate the prequel, But I for one really enjoyed it, Rhys Ifans chewing the scenery as Rasputin, Djimon Hounsou appearing in his 6th comic, Tom Hollander putting in triple time, And a bad ass Ralf Fiennes, Make for a hell of a fun time

  • The Matrix Resurrections

    The Matrix Resurrections

    ★★★★★

Not only did Lana Wachowski's The Matrix Ressurections have arguably the best trailer of 2021, It's also one of the best films of the year, It might be that i'm new to the Matrix universe, But I had a blast watching it, From Yahya Abdul-Mateen's Morpheus in various colour suits, Man did he look stylish as fuck, The nicest man on the planet alongside Carrie Anne Moss revisiting their iconic characters is a delight, Spectacular visuals, brilliant action set pieces,…

  • Spider-Man: No Way Home

    Spider-Man: No Way Home

    ★★★★★

They shot an episode of The Equaliser here in the 80's ! Despite activitely cringing, Due to the absolute wierdo's clapping and cheering like it was a football match, Spider-Man No Way Home was an absolute blast, Choc full of stand out moments, Surprises, And great new takes on iconic Spider-Man villains, Especially Willem Dafoe who steals the show as Norman Osborne, And yes he says that meme line 🤣, A culmination of Spider-Man film universe that turns 20 next year, Some dodgy CGI aside, This is the best Spider-Man has ever been on the big screen, Roll on the Spiderverse sequel next year!

  • West Side Story

    West Side Story

    ★★★★★

Steven Spielberg's first stab, At a musical, Hits all the right notes, In his delightful remake of the 1961 film, West Side Story, From the stunning choreography and musical numbers, And a star making turn, In Rachel Zegler, I'm not a huge musical fan, But like In The Heights, From earlt this year, I left loving what i'd just seen!

  • Rocky IV

    Rocky IV

    ★★★★

If he dies, he dies! Carl Weather's Apollo Creed swaggering into to ring, To James Browns Living In America, Whilst be stared down by Dolph Lundgren's icy cold Russian Ivan Drago, Is peak cinema, God damn was their a lot montages in this, For a man of few words Lundgren's Drago does most of his talking with his stare, A excellent villain of the piece, The eventual bout between Drago & Rocky sure does pack a punch, This is my first visit into to the Rocky universe, Apart from the 2nd Creed spin-off, But I thought this directors cut was brilliant

  • Boxing Day

    Boxing Day

    ★★★

If god was a woman, We'd all be fucked! Actor & director, Aml Ameen, Aka Lewis Hardy off the Bill, Directorial debut Boxing Day, Is a decent enough film, I'm obviously not the target here, But I'm sure women will get more a kick out of it, It's a good thing she's a decent singer, As the lass from Little Mix was more Wooden than Plank from Ed Edd N Eddy, A shame really as a majority of the side cast were fun

  • The Rock

    The Rock

    ★★★★★

I'll do my best, Your best! Losers always whine about their best, Winners go home and fuck the prom queen, Nic Cage & Sean Connery, Star in Michael Bay's action masterpiece The Rock, As chemist and ex con, Stanley Goodspeed & John Mason Tasked with stopping Ed Harris's, Army General Hummel, Who's taking over Alcatraz with his rogue squad of villains, Including the likes of Tony Todd, Who gets one of the best death scenes, And a young Bokeem Woodbine, Who has…

  • House of Gucci

    House of Gucci

    ★★★★

I could finally soar, Like a pigeon! I had a blast with Ridley Scott's House Of Gucci, Despite Jeremy Irons and a few other co-stars really dire attempts at Italian accents,At times I genuinely didn't know what the hell Jared Leto was doing, But my god was what ever it was highly entertaining, Whilst her performance isn't as strong, As it was in A Star Is Born, Lady Gaga puts in a solid performance, But you know exactly what to…

  • Encanto

    Encanto

    ★★★

Encanto is another solid Disney film, Despite it being beautiful to look at, It's shame none of the music numbers are in anyway memorable, But there's some fun to be had, for what's basically a Latino version of Disney's 2005 film Sky High

  • Pirates

    Pirates

    ★★★★

Wait was that J-Lo? Reggie Yates directorial debut Pirates, Is a fun film, About 3 friends attempting to attend a new years eve party in 1999, Memorable characters and a ace soundtrack, Make for a breezy 80 minute film

  • Pain & Gain

    Pain & Gain

    ★★★★

Do you know who invented salad? Poor people! Mark Walhberg, Anthony Mackie & The Rock, Kidnapping Tony Shalhoub, Dressed as ninja's is top tier comedy, The true crime story, Of gym bro Kidnapping, Extorting and murder, In the early 90's, Make for Michael Bay's best film, Since The Rock

  • Blitz

    Blitz

    ★★★

word of advice, Girls, If you're picking the wrong fight at least pick the right weapon! Jason Statham & Mark Rylance in the same film, Now there's something I thought I'd never see, It's one of Statham's best from the early 2010's , His tough cop is chasing after Aiden Gillen's Physcotic serial killer, Who's been targeting the police, A stacked cast of great British actors, From the likes of Luke Evans, David Morrissey, Paddy Considine and Zawe Ashton, Make for decent crime thriller
