Kong: Skull Island 2017
A welcome throwback to when blockbusters actually came complete with aspirations and ambition. Kong: Skull Island is a fast-paced romp full of immersive environments, blissfully obnoxious lighting/cinematography, and impressive, grand-scale action sequences. Also it hasn't even been two years and we're already paying homage to Mad Max Fury Road. A more in depth review coming later. Great stuff.
