Electric from start to finish.
I can understand people’s problems with the third act and it takes a lot of mental gymnastics to make an argument for either side, but I definitely don’t think it undermines what the film is trying to say at all. It makes sense for the men to want sympathy because they feel like they’re the victims (as that tends to happen) but they’re very clearly not. Sandy has her Joker arc and good for her and all but I really don’t see the problem.
This is the best looking film I’ve seen this year for sure. Wright’s films have always been a glory to look at but this takes the cake.
Thomasin McKenzie is insanely good here.
I started the week with Anya Taylor Joy and now I’ve ended it with her too.
