Fleeting glances can reveal so much. Something so mesmerisingly beautiful I want to destroy it too. In absolute awe.
Ahhhh Star Wars. Except, this didn't feel much like a Star Wars film at all. A lot of fun but but problematic at times - reeks of commercialism (tah Disney) but also frequently has some great moments. The direction, editing, framing and post production effects, however, seem confused - an on screen battle between Rian Johnson and the producers ensues; and instead of collaborating, each scene looks differently composed to the next, and all sense of unity sadly is revoked. Some shots are gorgeous whilst others are uninspired. An all round 'okay' film - let's go watch Empire again!
