I LOVE THIS FILM, MOST ARDENTLY
I’m not a fan of rich boy meets poor girl stories but this film is an exception. The dialogue baby is just so satisfying to listen except for Elizabeth’s mom. Her mom is much more concerned with financial security by seeing her daughters marry to wealthy men despite the fact it could result to a loveless marriage. Let us not misunderstood the character that Mrs. Bennet shown in the film for she is also a victim of classism. I would love to decipher Darcy and the other characters, however, I am not eloquent enough to communicate my thoughts through writing. I still struggle to find the right words whenever I write and speak. But, I am comfy discussing this in person (Bisaya here po). So yeah if ever we cross paths, I would be delighted to have a conversation with you about Pride and Prejudice (and other films ofc).
Anyway, kudos to the casts!!! The rain scene is by far the best argument between Darcy and Lizzie where I shouted silently, “just fckin kiss” 🤜 Their chemistry is no joke.
