OMG!!! Rewatch this absolutely devastated me again 😂😂 I really watching this wayyyy back when I was a kid and it gave me a irrational fear of spiders!!! It was this movie that probably made paranoid too!! Not a lot of my friends know I’m paranoid because I don’t really show it and I can control my “urges” of things I’m paranoid about, but my paranoia came from spiders and that fear came from this movie!!!! 
Because of that I used to check every corner of my house, i check under the bed, my shoes, hats and anything that was dark and could potential have any spiders in it, of course nobody thinks twice about stuff like this because a lot of common spiders are harmless and are good for the environment, but hey I was just a scared fucked up kid 😂

I’m not really scared of spiders anymore, sometimes I let my paranoia get the best of me and do things out of old habit like stepping on my shoes before I put it on because I subconsciously think there is a spider their haha. If I had a friend who had a pet tarantula and told me to pet it, I’d be hesitant, but I’d still do it because I’m not really scared of them anymore, but ita more of a subconscious fear. 

Anyway, this amazing movie does a wonderful job making siders horrifying and the reason why I think it does a good job is probably because how semi—realistic it feels. Like spiders do hide in these places and again aren’t harmful in the “real” world, but in a fictional one like this where just one bite it can absolutely kill you it’s mind numbing. 
The score is actually pretty good and the acting is kinda cheesy but Jeff Daniels is fucking amazing here!! He absolutely sells he’s preformance!! He’s great especially at the end when he’s fighting off the queen and the General!! 😂😂. God I love it 
I love all the jumb scares cuz it made me jumb out my seat!! The tension made me feel like I was there and the fake-outs gave me such anxiety!! 
 The reason why I love it so much most be due to how nostalgic the movie feels too me, especially one that gave me such a subconscious fear! 
Not a lot of horror movies get me like this did only a few horror movies gave me subconscious fears and honestly to me those are the true ones successful horror movies.
