What an absolutely astonishing piece. I previously gave Roma a 9/10 because I found the first act dull and hard to sit through, but during my second viewing, I didn't have that issue at all. I get that this film isn't for everyone, it's slow pace and drawn-out scenes make many lose interest and sometimes make it hard to follow. But in my eyes, Cuarón has created a film that is just so emotional, beautiful, personal, and hard-hitting, it's surely nothing short of a masterpiece. Crossing my fingers for best picture.
