Jim Jarmusch’s debut is a slow, plotless, student film with zero budget. So yeah, it’s pretty much what you would expect it to be. I think it’s more interesting to watch as a historical artifact than as an actual form of entertainment.
In the end I walked away with the same sort of enthusiasm that the popcorn girl has for selling the popcorn.
