Cameron McMurdie’s review published on Letterboxd:
I thought this was really terrific - a brilliant conclusion to this trilogy that has overall been great fun.
I love the first half - felt very influenced by The Witch and The Crucible. It was well-made, with great film-making, performances and musical score. The whole thing of previously established characters playing past characters was a little confusing, but it didn't bother me all that much.
And the second half was just as good - it brought the 1994 storyline to a wonderful, well-earned climax. The central twist was really great, unexpected and subverted tropes of the genre.
I love the B-movie style, quick, straight down the line style of filmmaking. I’m so glad I watched this trilogy because it turned out to be really terrific.
