Could not be a genuine portrayal of Steven Spielbergs adolescent yet tragic love and passion for movie magic if it didn’t have all of the Spielbergisms that either make you feel like a child in a theatre again or like you’re stuffing your face with sugarcoated schmaltz. Wouldn’t have had it any other way
