Fear Street: 1666

Fear Street: 1666 ★★★

Fear Street: 1666 is the weakest of the trilogy but by no means bad. I didn’t get using the kids to re-enact the witch’s origin as some of the Irish accents shown here are dodgy. And the pacing was off too. The final half was where I perked up as I was glad to be back in 1994 with the teens from the first film to finish things off. Does this mean I’ll find The Witch (which is the film everyone’s saying this is taking homages to) boring? Probably? I hope not though. 1994 and 1978 are tied for favourites for different reasons but I like how this trilogy has stayed fairly consistent and I think that this should be the end for it.
