Zack Snyder's Justice League

Zack Snyder's Justice League ★★★★★

I’ve made no bones about my disdain for Snyder’s DCEU fare. I find Man of Steel and Batman v. Superman to be laughable at best, and downright insulting at worst. They are characterless, actionless drivel that seems to only serve an interest in misery.

Zack Snyder’s Justice League is the exact opposite of all of that. Far from convolution and cynicism, ZSJL is a simple tale told very effectively, and it is a tale that warrants the runtime. For the first time, I feel like I’m seeing an actual superhero epic, and deservedly so. These characters are fleshed out and poignant far beyond the inferior theatrical release, and combine brilliantly into one of the most satisfying on-screen team-ups I’ve ever seen. Every frame of this film oozes charisma, and every single scene feels earned, exciting, and compelling. It is, somehow, against all odds, one of the best superhero films I have ever seen.

Hats off to you, mister Snyder. I cannot wait to see what you do next.
