I don’t know what I was expecting going into this, but even then it’s not what I got. This film is so lovely, it’s dark and absurd, yet so touching and sentimental. The characters of both Maude and Harold both fulfil their roles perfectly.

To begin with, Harold, part of me feels like every teenage kid coming into the world at large. Having to face the facts that they aren’t allowed to be in a world of education and having…

Jordan Peele’s Get Out was a film with major acclaim. But watching it I just wished he prioritised the themes of the film instead of letting them take the backseat to the concept itself. And while I’m yet to see Us. Nope manages to provide so much density and so much conceptual genius, that leaves your head in awe while pondering everything you’ve just seen.

Trying to unpack this one is really tough. There’s so much to dissect here and so…

I heard a lot of things going into this, and while I was expecting things to be worse than they were. Oh my GOD was this boring.

First let me mention the good bits, some of the editing choices and cinematography bits were quite cool, the set design and production design in general I think was great. Chris Pine’s character was really intriguing and I just felt bad for Florence Pugh because she just deserves so much better than this…

Wow, just wow, the ending here really spins your head and completely changes the way you see this film. First and foremost, the set design here is incredible, the style of this film is so cool, so creative, so dark and so surreal. The music matches the story itself perfectly, and while I was thinking for a while the characters felt underdeveloped, when it came to the ending it just threw me for a loop.

    The performances here are great…

It’s just a masterpiece. Nothing like it. Heavily debated and polarising which I think is why it sticks with me so much. There are so many different ways to view this film and interpret it and it’s probably the first time I saw a film that creates this sort of feeling.

The music and cinematography and set design and sound design all collaborate in creating such a mesmerising experience. You lose yourself in the vast expanse of space and I…
