"Do you believe in God, Joe?"
"When I see a sunrise or thunderstorm or dew on the ground, yes, I think there's a God. When I see all this, I think He's long past giving a shit."
Despite the presence of an excellent cast, I wasn't expecting much from The Little Things. January's not really the time of year where good films come to the theater, for the most part. The Little Things doesn't really do much that's outside the norm for a serial killer film, but what it does do, it does very well. Jared Leto is creepy as fuck in this, creepier than I've ever seen him before. Denzel's character maintains a sense of mystery around him for most of the film that makes his scenes with Rami Malek all that more interesting. At least, to me. Whether this film will do anything at all for you is a question I can't answer. Worth a look, though.
