After Yang 2021
Yeah, I knew I would really love AFTER YANG. A soft and careful treatise on identity, grief, and memory. Such gentle touches in the language of cinema that doesn't ask too much, but just a little. It's the perfect kind of SciFi film that grounds all the science and tech into an assimilation with the humanity of the subjects and the viewer -- such that nothing feels false or contrived.
