I went in knowing how bad people thought this movie was, but I wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt. I go in to movies wanting to like them 99 times out of 100, but this was just as garbage as people were saying.
It's a shame, though, because I can see glimpses of a decent film in there somewhere, but they're buried under the pile of incomprehensible garbage that is the 3rd act. Also, it doesn't even really become a horror movie until halfway through, but that's when it starts going off the rails. It was just "meh" before that point.
Sometimes the acting was passable, sometimes it was worse than what you'd see at an elementary school play. Sometimes the directing was somewhat stylistic and cool-looking, sometimes it is the ugliest shit you can imagine. It's just-- ugh, it's really frustrating. Definitely one of the worst movies I've seen in a while, but I had to break the streak of seeing only good shit at some point, right?
2/10.
