  "هذا الشر العظيم .. من أين أتى؟ كيف ظهر على وجه الأرض؟ من أي بذرة؟ من أي جذع نبت؟ يسلبنا ضوءنا وحياتنا .. يسخر من جهلنا. 
  هل خرابنا يفيد الأرض؟ هل يساعد الأعشاب على النمو؟ أو الشمس على الإشراق؟" 

  لا أتوقع ان هنالك أي اقتباس سينمائي علق في عقلي وأثر فيني مثل هذا الاقتباس العظيم. اقتباس يجعلك تتفكر كثيراً وكثيراً في النفس البشرية والحقد الذي يملئها عبر العصور. الحقد والكره الذي لن نتركه مهما عشنا على هذه الارض المسالمة.
