RepoMan’s review published on Letterboxd:
This did not keep my attention for much. It’s obvious Jarmusch didn’t have his style or form from the beginning (even though most of it is found in stranger than paradise), but that’s okay, there was still some shots and one saxophone related scene I enjoyed. The main character is stupid. The story is boring and honestly hard to be interested in and usually a story like this works for him but i forgive it for being his early work. It’s definitely less than three stars but as someone who’s an aspiring filmmaker and knows my early works are going to be at this same (maybe even lower) level of quality, I forgive it. Liked it for what it was.
