or bisexual body envy on the burning beach. It seems like a lot of Petzold fans are more mixed on this one but I really liked it. The performances are all excellent and I love that it's a hangout movie that centers around the worst hang of all time. You can tell from the beginning that it's all building to something, but the ending still hit me like a ton of bricks.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.

No costume design this year will be funnier than Franz Rogowski’ crop top and large coat combo in Passages, but all I’m saying is that Arliss Howard’s droopy beanie, cardigan, clear frames, and Sub Pop t-shirt comes close.

great vibes, appreciably gross. I had heard a lot about Keanu and Tilda, had not heard nearly enough about Peter Stormare as a scenery-chewing Lucifer.

The band is called Maustetytöt, the song is “Syntynyt suruun ja puettu pettymyksin.” You’re welcome.

I’ll just never tire of how Kaurismäki sees the world. Feels most akin to Shadows in Paradise of his movies, it makes sense that he sees this as an extension of the Proletariat Trilogy. Step aside Alien, we’ve got a new Quadrilogy.

Damn, every other movie is just going to seem uninventive and dull after this.
