Fear Street: 1666 ★★★½

Why was I pointing at the TV like the Leo DiCaprio meme whenever I saw someone I recognized, as if I expected any differently.

Fear Street 1666 (and, really, the last third of this is just Fear Street 94 Part II) culminates the trilogy in a satisfying, albeit neat and expected, way. The body horror elements are really strong here, working particularly well during the 1666 segments, and the finale in the mall is It: Chapter Two-level kooky, but provides one of the more entertaining set pieces of the trilogy. Some logical gaps are pretty glaring, but don’t think about them too much; revel in the joyous camp of Leigh Janiak and R. L. Stine.
