The Card Counter 2021
Really liked this. One of the bleakest (and therefore most accurate) depictions of 21st century America I can recall seeing. I think it’s cool our nation’s greatest Facebook user is also one of its best filmmakers at addressing the current moment. Don’t know if it was intentional but I did not like when the movie stopped in the middle for about an hour because there was something wrong with my plane’s in-flight entertainment system
